Secrets

We all have our emotions,

they often become a shadow, 

A place that only we can access.

we see the world as a dangerous place, 

a place where all of our dreams become shattered. 

We see each other as someone who makes no mistakes,

but deep down inside there are all secrets to be found.

But don't be mistaken, once upon a time we all had fears and worries,

now, we need to discover the long lost hope,

that was once secreted, and bring it back to life.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but SHOW ME! Show me what you mean, paint me a word picture, help me to feel the emotions you're feeling. I know you're younger, and that's great! Find some poets whose work has been recognized as quality. Read some. Decide what it is that you like about their poetry. What draws you in? Then practice writing like them. It will make a world of difference.
