Imaginary and perfected beauty

Imaginary and perfected beauty

A Poem by Gio J. C.
"

Sometimes people make out others to be more than what they really are without ever taking the opportunity to really get to know them. I am often one of those people...

"
In real life
She is but
An ordinary woman,
Yet in my mind,
Over the years,
With time and distance,
Not seeing her face,
I created her,
A goddess.

The perfect woman
With the perfect smile.
A perfect voice,
A perfect laugh,
And in between us,
The ideal connection.

Years pass by,
I see her again.
She is only human,
Yet I can't help it,
A wave of emotions
Flood my mind.

She leaves my sight,
but still,
After seeing truth,
I still retain,
What I created.

My imaginary friend.
