Lose, Lose

Lose, Lose

A Poem by Cerebriation

Losing freedom. Losing time.
Losing patience. Losing minds.
Where were you when all was lost?
I'm always here, forget the cost.

They lure me in. They tear me down.
I, oh so bad, need you around.
I tear it up, I push you out.
I fail to see what life's about.

Losing hope. Losing faith.
Losing energy. Losing face.
Where was I when all was gone?
You're never here; forget what's wrong.

You always sang the Siren's song.

We're turning in and tuning out.
Hear the sound; what it's about.
Seize the day, do what we may.
Take your girl on home to play.

Don't lose your faith.  Don't lose your mind.
Don't lose your life.  Don't lose your time.
We'll be here when all is gone.
No matter if they think it's wrong.
