Persistant thoughts of a pre-you me.

Persistant thoughts of a pre-you me.

A Poem by Perri
"

It's short. I managed to shut up for once! =)

"

I don't think the connection is in my imagination.

But if I won't act, and you won't act,

Then we're forever at this impasse.

And every second we wait, we drift further apart.

Trying to capture an emotion I was having when I started loving my best friend, and I had no clue what was going on. (It's all worked out now =D) It's complicated haha!

This is beautiful.
I love it when you write like this - because, let's be honest, I'm not the kind to have those deep conversations where I would normally get to see this side of you. Deep, touchy-feely, emotional stuff isn't my area of expertise...
But this really is beautiful.

Aww that's sweet. I guess you could say that is how I feel now. I didn't act until it was too late, and now I feel like we're drifting apart. :(

This happens often, of course, as you probably know. The way I see it is,if they are your best friend, then shouldn't you be able to say anything to them? This piece is honest, as everything stated is true. If neither party will say anything or act on their feelings, then they will either stay where they are or drift apart from possibly hiding things from eachother. A good write. I always enjoy short ones.

Thank you!
I was so scared that saying something would ruin the close relationship we had..... read more
The impasse is a great divide and downgrading it to a hiatus of inter-relational motion allows for a suitable resolution. A great slice of a moment. Thanks for sharing.
