Nana's Pearls

Nana's Pearls

A Poem by DreamWeaver 2154
"

Grief, Love, Loss, and Beauty

"

String of stone fine and white
sits on a stand, gleaming in the light
Perfect and smooth, elegant, beautiful
yet foreboding, cold, almost unsuitable

Holding a regality no one can describe
it shows her hidden feminine side
one that I never saw until today
when they arrived, here to stay

Having hung from her neck so few a time
I never imagined nor hoped they would be mine
They are who she was, plain but pure
With them at my neck, grief I’ll endure

With sadness in mind they are adorned
hanging down, an invisible weight when worn
regret, sorrow, beauty and elegance unfurl
Shining like her eyes in the morning sun, Nana’s Pearls

This is a true tale. Passing in the spring, I now have a reminder of her, one I wish I didn't have.

About
Hi Everyone, I'm starting to realize that my passion, while hidden for so long, lies in the written word, as opposed to the voice, art, or anything else. I didn't think i wanted to become a writer,.. more..
