Brigther Days

Brigther Days

A Poem by Dreamersville
"

I wrote this poem for someone who went through a difficult time. This was to moitvate and help the spesific person.

"

Dark days I had because you destroyed my hopes.

Darker nights I had when you just wouldn't stop.

You disrupted me, my thoughts.

You consumed my life, my past.

Dare I blossom,there you were,

Attacking me, drenching my soul.

Dare I forget, there you popped up.

Reminding me that you own my thoughts,

You owned my being.

I had you in head

I had you on mind

Though I haven't seen you for quite some time You were still there, you never left atleast not without a gruesome goodbye.

I had you in my head.

Dare I try to forget

There you were again,

invading my life,

Nearly making me lose my wife.

That's when I stopped you.

This is when I had enough.

Jesus brought me through,

He taught me the devil is a lie.

He taught me how to forgive

I shall not forget...

But I shall forgive

I forgave to have some brigther days ahead.

Because my girl and I but...

Mostly Me!

I deserve some brighter days instead.

Brighter days...

Free from you.

Free from fear.

Free from dark days and even darker nights

Consumed and indulged into brighter delights.

Dreamersville,
Oh "Brighter Days" is powerful. It has a lesson being spoken through a history. I love how you bring the reader through experience to a conclusion of wholeness. Your strength is the help coming from outside your own self; a very meaningful poem. You have a nice long line contrasting with the poems lovely form. It would be interesting to see how that long line might be brought into the poems present structure. Blessings to you......................Kathy
