When I Write

When I Write

A Poem by DrippingSkies
"

A look into what it’s like for me when I write some of my poetry.

"
When I write, I’m not in a good place.

When I write, my mind is running in a million different directions and it fells like I’m always dizzy.

When I write, I’m on the edge; I’m on the edge of an attack, trying to get my emotions out.

When I write, my bottled up emotions are pushing themselves out of my fingers that are flying across the keyboard.

When I write, it’s the day that I’ve been saying “I’m fine” over and over again, wishing someone would say “No, you aren’t”.

When I write, it helps me disappear from everything and everyone around me.

When I write, it makes me feel better.

After I’m done writing, I feel me and my external crisis dissolves.

After I’m done writing, I smile.
