Disdain

Disdain

A Poem by Dushyant Thadani

I feel my life in disdain
No song, no romance, no passion
Just a few empty stones
Waiting to be filled up in space
To form some form of completion

The wind whispers telling me to go on
And so does fate with the choices I've made
But then why do I feel so clueless and burdened
Like carrying something heavy across
The empty hallway called my life today

I need a change of some sort
A change in attitude, a change in likes
A change in something that'll let this
Emptiness fill up and bring me a true smile
Which will keep me steady and moving
