Growing Up

I'm still a kid

A kid who still wants to be a kid

A full man grown but still a kid

A kid who still wants to stay a kid

A kid devoid of all pressures of the life of an adult

A kid who follows his heart with a glee and smiles

A kid who still thinks the world is kind and humane

Who doesn't need to know or face the realities of life

But life goes on and people need to grow

Either to face the world and move up in life

Or to make themselves fit for society

Either ways, it ain't a choice, it is a necessity

A necessity which I am still trying hard to understand
