Stuck Up and Dead Regretting

Stuck Up and Dead Regretting

A Poem by Dushyant Thadani

Friendly Smiles, Firm Handshakes
Congratulating a man in his success
Everyone smiling in happiness
Thinking about the greatness of it

But what does the man think
When he succeeds
At this dead end job
Which makes him feel suffocated

He joins the job
With the thought of quitting
After earning a substantial amount of money
But the money is too tempting to quit

But then as he succeeds
In losing his life
Just the thought of quitting it
Gives him a big fright

Such a life with a dead end job
Where the pay is good
But the happiness is not
And then in the end, death is the only escape

Great writers hook to the poem and even
portrayed beautifully also ..... a true depiction of men who
are in reality stuck in such jobs......

What a brilliant exploration into the heart and mind... those things outside us we face, and those experiences that affect us deep inside... A powerful glimpse at what is happiness, and what leaves one empty.
