She Once Had A Heart Of Gold.

She Once Had A Heart Of Gold.

A Poem by Jenna Marie

She was always the one to care,

She was always the one who was there.

When she needed someone around,

She was left all alone to drown.

All she could do was pull herself together,

To overcome the stormy weather.

Soon she began to shut everyone out,

The kindness she had went into a drought.

The warmth she had in her heart faded,

Now she's become so jaded.

She's picked up on a new addiction,

No one would of guessed this prediction.

She's drunk on this new high,

All because of a bad guy.

Her thoughts are up in smoke,

As she coughs and chokes.

She's traveled down a new road,

Because she's got a new code.

She once had a heart of gold,

Then it froze and she turned cold.
