Perfect Weapon.

Perfect Weapon.

A Poem by Jenna Marie

With one simple lie,
You left my heart bleeding.
I found the truth,
That you had hidden among my eyes.
I sit in silence,
To contemplate my every thought.
I leave your heart racing,
In fear.
Darling,
Did you really think that you could hide anything from me?
What you thought was your perfect weapon,
Turned out to be your only demise.
You kissed the lips of temptation,
And now you must walk around with your shame.
Heartbreak must be your favorite pain,
Since you have no problem causing it.
Your deception,
Opened my eyes.
And now you're on your own.

I like this poem… It's about how a girl finds out that her boyfriend cheated, and is moving on. You wrote it beautifully, but I do have a few problems. First is the use of the word "demise." Demise means death, so "only demise" doesn't quite fit to me. And the only other thing, is that you put a comma after "your deception." Other than that, I love it!

My favorite line is "you kissed the lips of temptation."
