The sea of black tears

This piece was written at a pretty tough time for me. Feel free to add feedback as i look forward to improve my skills

A bird of sorrow asks you gladly,
What are you afraid of, what makes you mad?
What upsets you yet so sadly?
Oh, would i know the answer, have I not been dead...

How unfortunate its is, how unforseeable it was
For me to fall into a worthless cause...
Self-discovery? Oh please, was i yet so stupid to believe
In all these lies, in all the greatness I'd achieve!

It was all enforced to us by those, yet so unworthy of our sight,
That even their petty and malicious smiles overshine the moon at night...
Was it so and much unseen, until I looked so deep inside...
My own soul, or is it the darkest sea of tears, oh, help me, i cant yet decide...

Yes, I see, I see it now so clearly...
In the shattered mirror of my mind, that I just saw but merely...
My deepest of desires, my darkest of the fears,
The oversorrowing sea of black tears...
