Columbus Dispatch

Columbus Dispatch

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

Written during sophomore year.

"

This Midwest life

just isn’t my style.

Not too fond of April snows,

and the same old, same old

mundane life;

dying by monotony.

And see the light:

Get out while you can.

I don’t want to see the world

through the travel section

of the Columbus Dispatch;

I don’t want to live that.

I don’t want to see the world

through the travel section

of the Columbus Dispatch;

I don’t want to live that.

These people think we’re crazy,

but it’s okay.

We can live life in a beat up van

and just drive away.

There are no rules,

we can do whatever we please.

Play a little louder

and we’ll chase some dreams.

Mundane, this life,

this town will be the death of me,

till I find some light,

and get out while I can.

I don’t want to see the world

through the travel section

of the Columbus Dispatch;

I don’t want to live that.

I don’t want to see the world

through the travel section

of the Columbus Dispatch;

I don’t want to live that.

I don’t want to see the world

through the travel section

of the Columbus Dispatch;

I don’t want to live that.

I don’t want to live like that.

I don’t want to live like that.

I don’t want to live like you.
