![]() Subtle IntensityA Poem by Breezie KaeDid I ever tell you that you’re wonderful? You’ve got midnight eyes so filled with soul. Wish to inhabit the spirit of rock and roll and black out the rest. Did I ever tell you that I want to do anything that you want me to? I swear that it’s all for you, I’ll give you my best. But I can’t be that girl that steals you away, I know she wants you too. Yeah, boy, she won, but I want my fun, and I don’t think she deserves you. But there’s nothing I can do But hope our eyes meet, up in the circus of biology, damn those chemicals are wicked. Just trying to make sense of this psychology, and why I keep chasing what I can’t see, but those chemicals they’re so wicked. Have I ever told you I am so confused, I haven’t a clue what to say to you. Erase these things from the present to remember again. But those midnight eyes, oh can’t you see, they’re filled with such subtle intensity. I know that it can’t be me, I’ll just lose it again. Because I can’t be that girl that steals you away, I know I missed my chance. Say that it’s me, but it’s just a dream, and I can’t steal your romance. But just tell me there’s a chance Cause when our eyes meet up in the circus of biology, damn those chemicals are wicked. Just trying to make sense of this psychology, and why I keep chasing what I can’t see, but those chemicals they’re so wicked. © 2010 Breezie Kae |
