Cyclone

Cyclone

A Poem by Breezie Kae

Cyclone,

I’ve got a cyclone on my mind.

It’s spinning so slow,

it’s spinning so extraordinary.

Seafoam,

it’s the color of the night.

I stay up, talk to him,

and I ask for only this.

But then I add another,

I ask for an answer,

I ask him to tell me what I’m for.

I ask for some strength,

I ask just to save some face,

and I swear my love to him.

Because it’s so beyond me,

it’s so beyond me.

You reached me,

tell me what to do.

It’s so beyond me,

as far as I see.

You reached me,

you reached me.

I never,

I never took the time to thank you.

You wouldn’t let life leave,

and you held onto me.

So what’s the future,

and tell me, what’s the past?

We can change this,

letting go with every breath.

Because it’s so beyond me,

it’s so beyond me.

You reached me,

tell me what to do.

It’s so beyond me,

as far as I see.

You reached me,

you reached me.

You reached me,

you reached me through everything.
