Retrospect

Retrospect

A Poem by Breezie Kae

In retrospect, I couldn't see far forward.
In retrospect, it couldn't get much worse.
Oh, but then it gets better,
oh, how it gets better,
gets better again.

In retrospect, the sky was grey.
In retrospect, couldn't get away.
Oh, but then it gets bluer,
oh so royal bluer
again.

And then every moment is my therapy,
every moment is so much to me.
Holding on before I get out of hand
again.

Every silence is in admiration,
and all of my laughter is genuine.
Holding on before I get out of hand.

So is life, oh, so is life.
So is life, oh, so is life.

In retrospect, I could have wasted less time.
In retrospect, it could have been sublime.

In retrospect, I could have gone much deeper.
In retrospect, I could have gone.

And then every moment is my therapy,
every moment is so much to me.
Holding on before I get out of hand
again.

Every silence is in admiration,
and all of my laughter is genuine.
Holding on before I get out of hand.

So is life, oh, so is life.
So is life, oh, so is life.
