Can't Be Swayed

Can't Be Swayed

A Poem by Breezie Kae

She only learns the things she knows,
she breaks her nail upon the stove;
she won't leave home.

She only listens to what she's taught,
there's black and white and right and not;
she's never fought.

She never feels the need to say,
customer's always right anyway;
she can't be swayed.

Yet with closed minds,
nothing ever gets through.
There's always an exception
to every single rule.
If we never let go,
we will never realize
there's no such thing as wrong,
and we aren't always right.

She starts to wonder what her life is,
she sees a life filled with ignorance;
it all makes sense.

She tries to say what's on her mind,
that faith is just led by the blind;
she gives it a try.

Now she feels the need to say
a cattle's life is not the way;
she still can't be swayed.

The bottle opens
and bleeds rainbow words.
There is no hopeless
when every voice is heard.
And it seems to be
if we open our minds
we might just be surprised
by the things we find.

SO BEAUTIFUL! The title caught my eye! This rocks my world! My mind is so open to pretty much everything and I enjoyed this a lot.

I like the logic in this poem. Better to fly with the Hawk then walk with the cattle to the slaughterhouse. A very good poem. Sometime world try to shape our mind. We need to hold on to desires and dreams. A outstanding poem.
