Puppy

Puppy

A Poem by Breezie Kae

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Puppy.

I try to write for you

But nothing some to mind

Staring into a blank sheet

A blank canvas

And words remain inside.

Maybe it’s too simple

Or much to complex

Maybe words cannot describe

Or maybe there are none to say.

Or maybe I just have writer’s block.

(Now that wouldn’t surprise me one bit)

Maybe I see too much

In my nothing-at-all

My friend

My “puppy”

The one no one thinks of

As more than just that.

But still there is something

In this boy whom I call

Friend.

Still searching for something

In my nothing-at-all.

Maybe my feelings

Aren’t strong enough for this poem.

Reviews

I like this one a lot because it leads you to a place where you feel hopeful for the puppy boy - but then you let it all crash in when you say there are not enough emotions to write for him. So sad. I hope I am not anyones puppy.

This is a good poem, I like it. This could be a great poem with a tweak or two. Read them aloud to yourself or to someone else. This will help you find the rough parts.
