The battle is lost

The battle is lost

A Poem by Cheavel DeLuna

I rest my eyes,

lay down my head.

The battle is finished,

the war is lost.

People are missing,

was it worth the price?

Sleepless nights,

yet time goes by,

never a soul

does wonder why.

The enimy fell,

years after their rule.

They never could salvage,

the pride they fought for.

And yet years go by,

like clouds over skies,

And peace been restored,

over land, over lord..

And all that had fallen,

has yet been made young,

yet all the new glories,

have grown into old.

The sheep roam the pastures,

and birds rule the sky.

and after years of waiting,

I shall sleep to night.

wonderful and touching... "Was is worth the price?" ! yeah, that's the right question that have to keep echoing everywhere to wake every evil spirit... Fabulous song. I love it :)
