Feather.

Feather.

A Poem by Cheavel DeLuna

Spines and quills.

Tiny hairs.

Weave together.

Cling together.

Making maps of something bigger

that I cannot see.

Waves.

Like the ocean.

The egdes split and fray,

curl away.

Snowflake threads reaching out.

Away.

And in the centre

a bony rod.

Holds it all together.
