Locked in the Mountain

Locked in the Mountain

A Poem by Dustin Reichmuth
"

From awhile back

"
Paralyzed, crippled by the fear inside us all.
Tempted by the apple, surely they will fall.
Caught at the scene of the crime, they soon will all die,
We cannot go on, without the mercy reclaimed.
We cannot all, just perish within flames.

Crucified, stabbed through the heart on a cross for you.
Promises of an afterlife that you can't hold true.
Beg me for your life, before you've wasted all my time.
You cannot live on, with the fire inside us all.
You cannot step on, not above divine law.

Step, into the flames with me, and you'll begin to see.
That this tragic life is everything, you could ever need.
So, you'll hear the marching ring, slide into the sea,
And give us some shine, back into our lives tonight.

Every day, I see these things that make us wish we'd paid our dues.
I feel the scream start from within you, I know this is true.
Count your blessings on your fingers baby, you're out of time.
Out of time, when I'm not in my right mind, anymore.
So feel the cool calming breeze, slide into the sea, we're not gonna be..

Step, into the flames with me, and you'll begin to see.
That this tragic life is everything, you could ever need.
So, you'll hear the marching ring, slide into the sea,
And give us some shine, back into our lives tonight.

I see a new world in my view now, it's something new now,
And I know somehow that we'll make it through
On my way back to you, I'll always stay true, throughout this I do.
And I'll breathe a whole world of fire, just to tame all the liars.
Oh I know that I'll waste my time, but that's alright.

So remind me of places we saw, beneath the grand wall
Of white, pearls, and the myths that we stirred
Created to shun the gods, we create this facade,
I won't stand behind And watch life pass by,
We're only subscribed to this sick dark time
In return for the things that we do, I'd be promised you, in life and in time.

So see, our sea, of flames with me.
And you, might find, that I made all time.
I left you behind.
