Poetic to be Pathetic

Poetic to be Pathetic

A Poem by WayzWithWordz
"

its sad but true

"

It’s Poetic to be Pathetic

There is nothing more poetic

Than a pen lying comfortably

Across a pad filled with fresh thoughts

And there is nothing more pathetic

Than a man lying uncomfortably

On a bed filled with fresh memories

There is nothing more poetic

Than someone writing a poem

To cope with the pain

And there is nothing more pathetic

Than someone writing a poem

To cope with the pain

There is nothing more poetic

Than two individuals coming together

Expressing love publicly for the world to see

And there is nothing more pathetic

Than two individuals coming together

And continuing to be individuals and it is only visual

To a poet

There is nothing, in this world, more poetic

Than being alone, confused, lost

And most of all

Pathetic

seems in my experience when you are lost and alone in despair there is a form of deepness.. your mind begins to grip onto things and see many layers to them.. perhaps it's desperation, or perhaps you lose the hold this world has on you so you are able to see beyond what is spelled out to the many layers of everything. You are a poet of depth and I look forward to reading on..

The last stanza of this is tremendous. I love the entire take on this particular situation, since this is something so many of us here can relate to.

By doing so you almost automatically adopt meter which is the essential difference between prose and poetry, Although I prefer rhymimg poetry it is no an essential ingredient. I suggest you get hold ofa good source book which explains meter and forma l forms Lewis Turcos book of forms of

Poetry encompasses every human condition From pathetic to triumphant but is perhaps at its best when used as self therapy. Catharsis clears the festering sores of past hurts by exposing them to daylight

awesome and scathing... this should be required reading for aspiring poets... the one's who are offended should turn back.
