Arguments Are Not Fair

Arguments Are Not Fair

A Poem by WayzWithWordz

Arguments Are Not Fair

Temperatures rise

Fire erupts in the eyes

Sparks flies

Scolding the skin and rules of humanity begin to bend

Because an argument, isn’t fair

She tells me “I wish you would”

She lays out that unfinished bargain

And it leaves me starting

To worry because I don’t know what she wishes I would do

The next move I make just could push her through the roof

Fumes press against my face like fresh air

Damn, arguments are not fair

Okay, okay now I am confused

Because you are now smiling and just a minute ago you blew a fuse

Now it seems you are amused

Does it tickle you that you accused

Me of something bases solely on your imagination

Then you jumped down my throat, like a Tylenol, with no hesitation

O my God the smiles we are wasting

Because we are fusing over something small, like a toilet chair

I just wish a dispute between a man and woman was fair

But what I love the most about these hate moments

Is that when you are wrong you own it

Acknowledging that a woman can be wrong

And on those days my minds sings a cheerful song

But today is not one of those days

This will be a inconclusive conflict

O how I hate the ones like this

Because the only way to soothe the soul is by a kiss

Theses little spats simply show, in a unorthodox, that we care

But as long as you are a woman and I am a man

Arguments will never be fair
