Rain or Shine

This is written for someone who I am very blessed to meet. Today was her 15th birthday, and so five years ago was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.

Who is that girl, you ask?

 

The one that always gives a radiant smile,

Spreading happiness faster than wildfire?

The one that lifts spirits at comforting ease,

As if an angel sent from above?

The one that is always beautiful,

No matter feeling like rain or shine?

 

Yes, I know this girl,

For within every mile of her presence,

An everlasting miracle takes place,

Touching the hearts of hundreds of souls.

And every laugh, every word,

Every step that she takes,

She is always there,

Each and every day.

 

And yes,

I am truly blessed to know such a girl,

Every day she enters my mind,

Bringing a smile to my gloomy face.

 

What is her name, you ask?

Well, that I can definitely say,

For it is Rachel, of course!
