CHARLOTTE

CHARLOTTE

A Poem by Eagle Cruagh

 CHARLOTTE

Cold spring waters flow
Like rainbows colored friends
Who touch us beneath a cloud
Of love that never ends

The rainbow shifts and flows
From points in her dark eyes
She swims from fluid point
To warm and gathering sighs

The song of longing now as
It was even then
Sporadic at the start has grown
To question when

You know but silence in your mind
Left to fester as if blind
Solace is no more
Terrible violence tearing at my kind

The dark is gathering fast
Creation clouding o`er
Feelings that will  not pass
Become a revolving door

Feelings that will not pass, Become a revolving door - favorite line.

Very nicely done. Good descriptions. Beautiful. Lucky girl.

I really like the imagery. And I like how the shifting in tone is pretty noticeable.

I really enjoyed the first stanza "rainbows colored friends". Such beautiful imagery.

I also enjoyed the metaphor of the revolving door. It has so many underlying meanings and it works so well.

Good write.
