Haunting Heart

written as an assignment for school

Under moonlight's veil you danced. Lithe and grace
in every movement, becoming artful,
living magic. You hypnotize, the way
you walk, the way you speak, even your eyes
enthrall. I'm bound to you, my secret love
my guilty obsession. Only from way
afar may i gaze with truth upon your beauty.
Your out shining the stars in the heaven
with your onyx pools of controlled beauty.
if only they could gaze to me, then in
happiness i could pass from this lonesome
state of being. You are my sanctuary.
You haunt every thought, drift through every dream.
your an ethreal god, yet i'm the ghost.
