Euphoria

Euphoria

A Poem by Elixabeth S. Wynants

Fog upon the grass
You twist so euphoriclly
How long has it been since you've visited me?
We let the days go on
And years have passed
To where I see there is no discoloration to you
Are you here?
Watching?
Or do you mingle in the dew,
Stalking as I once thought of you without fear?
Taken pounds of flesh to build your fortress
I will not beg, but I do ablidge
If you offer your final kiss
I will accept the one not returned
To slumber eternally in our arms so cold
Without fright, while you deliver your nigh.

This is lovely. In particular I like the lines "I see there is no discoloration to you/Are you here?"
