The Unicorn Rule

The Unicorn Rule

A Poem by Eagergreen
"

My mom inspired this in reality it seems kind of breakup-ish but it isn't and please comment

"
I'm perfect
When I see a unicorn
I'll be perfect
That's my requirement
Until then don't ask
I'm not perfect
But I'll try
For me and you
Why isn't that good enough?
I still love you
Why don't you love me?
Because I'm not perfect?
You hit me
You called me horrible names
And I have problems...
Maybe I do
But nobody's perfect
Not even you

How very true I think many people can relate to this, myself included partly. This kind of describes a domestic vionent relationship in my opinion.I wrote "Angel Above" sort of an aftermath to this from an infants perspective the picture I used helps set it off.Your poetry is very well presented with strong messages good job
