A Town And The Surroundings

Cosmic dust penetrates the soul of the metropolis

Sun Town is truncated, cut off from other worlds

Stands alone, becomes wedged in, a surrounded gem

A fortress beautiful, colorful, warm and cozy within the city limits

Gray towers, jagged walls, stone shadows, remote hours

Turn outwards triangulated to the urban universe

Buildings become boxes for the soul

Strangled neighborhoods gobble up the empty spaces

No name red dots on maps punctuate the lustrous landscape

Stretch out as urban sprawl into suburbia

Mundane miles bloom blue flowers, gold bushes wild

Fill in Sun Town with boundaries and borders bright

Vegetation by the road side colored by design go far

Grow thick on distances, penetrate the mind, the soil solid

Conversations of the citizens kept at a minimum

Hang low, muffled along the boulevard and flourish

Allow conventional wisdom to take hold

Down town knows the city limits only by street names

Oak trees move in bold performance orchestrated by the wind

People keep on building in open air the thoroughfares

Locations outside of town remain defined

Children live in villages further out

Gray buildings stand on end

Alienation can be found on playground spoils

Solid construction in decay as rusted iron

Built, evolved beyond the boundaries of imagination

But only in this location outside the town

Visitors come to the city like aliens from a distance

Penetrate through borders, no proper visas

Sun Town has televisions for their pleasure

And sometimes new job listings make the difference
