Fragile Snow Flakes Engaged

Red flames become enraged at copper factories

Suffer alongside the entrance to the mine

Underground, men work overtime in hell

Power blender machinery with dynamite

Grind out metal by the hour

Borrowed air from above

Captured in the miners memory

Snow caught in the cold moment

Landing on the tongue

Only a distance thought to them

Lend an air of normalcy

Smoke stacks tower miles high

Fumes billow out in clouds of acid

Rain on the side of black

To smother sulfurs yellowed lungs

In the taste of ash

Forms an ugly green stain on window pains

Sings burnt dirty songs, factory impacted

Grows foreign as the snow falls free

Corporate types  are jealous of snow

They watch infuriated as one flake escapes

Gathers on six points attacked by white

Is so timid, so fragile in the light

Held on the moment frantic, evaporated

Cigarettes light up with a smile by bosses

Engulfed in suffocating smoke

Coffee grounds go down with the workers
Sounds travel hollow underground

Consumed, never to be found

Drown with lung cancer heart attacks

Intact men once fell as snow flakes free

Avoiding landings

Ore mines, factories, cough up endangered species

Alarms ring out when snow turns to acid rain

very descriptive and vivid contrast with the snow flake ..the social commentary has validity with no easy solutions .. the miners are a breed of their own ..proud hard working providers for their families .. not sure what the "good" balance is ... some serious thought to munch on this morning
