Future Christmas

Future Christmas

A Poem by Earl Schumacker
"

Children play with bliss at Christmas

"

Future Christmas

Right around the corner of the mind

Where magic forms pure pleasure

Islands dot the eyes of oceans green

Dreams come up with mystic waves of visions

Perhaps more than eleven months ago

Children thought to make a list of things

Made their wishes for this past Christmas

With no limits to space and time

2017 is up the street in just a minute

Young ones dropped off on city shores

Not a year away like before

Is it not in view or is it

So far away from us another Christmas

At the door before it's yesterday is finished
