Women's Ways

Women's Ways

A Poem by Earl Schumacker
"

Mysteries of the mall

"

Women's Ways

Elevators ride east going west

Leaning in the right direction

Girls inside grow up thin and rich

Pretty, beyond color, beyond touch

Once on the escalator of life

Life goes sideways

The mall has it all at a cost

Uterus smiles, ideas spring forth

Pink, beyond reach, beyond price

Women want what women need

Everything marked down twice

Below retail of course would be nice

Author's Note

Earl Schumacker
Elevators that go east and west and never rest. Prices that never rise. Mysteries of the mall. The mall has it all.
