Poor Kitty

Poor Kitty

A Poem by Earl Schumacker
"

Cats are family too

"

Poor Kitty

Kitty stood in line for hours to be served

In lock-down at home without a mask on

Waiting behind a door closed for business

The lazy owners were all asleep oblivious

Is this any way to treat a feline friend in line

It is a line of one but does that matter to anyone

Safe distances mean nothing to a hungry cat

Open the GD door already lazy sleepers

Before I report you to the WHO and CDC

Poor kitty has done nothing wrong to you

He only wants love and affection from you

So for crying out loud, give him some food
