Like A Hurricane

Like A Hurricane

A Poem by EboneeAlexis
"

Im my own worst enemy.

"

tell me if it is possible to be happy

let me know if it will always be this way

is there no way for me to be content

is there no way for me to ever be satisfied with life

or will i always sabotage my own plans

will i forever destroy my own hopes and dreams

and each time i do

will it always be harder to start fresh

why is it when i look in the mirror

i see only disaster

its like everyday i become more and more

like a hurricane

and everyday i pick up speed

only to crash and burn in the end

Very deep and well written and indeed life can be like a hurricane for both the good and the bad.

I sense true darkness and raw emotion when I read this poem. I cannot say I enjoyed it because enjoying someone's pain is a dastardly deed but I applaud your frankness. Your rhythm seemed a bit off with the "and each time i do" line. Try to stay consistent.

Deep. And inside of every writer, is a drive and motivation that pushes him/her to write, and I think self-satisfation is yours. Keep your head high, and please keep writing, because you have a talent for written expression.
