Bound

My past came looking for me today
It wreaked its havoc and played its game
Condemned emotions mustered with pain
I thought I escaped but now I see

My life, my home, my every thing
Gone in an instant, ravaged completely
You took all that I ever loved
My redemption was never your intention

I am left alone, with nothing holding me
Lucidity left with you fleeing the scene
My demons etched within my mind
My only love crucified for my crime

You deserted me, as I once did you
Karma repaid, with an immortal wound
Devastation thrives off our demise
For fate has bound both you and I

This is a very good poem. So passionate filled with anger and anguish. Makes one curious to o know the story hidden in the words

I wrote this in a poetry group that I am in. The owner of the group will occasionally post pictures and we have to "write what we see". This particular picture was a place that was completely destroyed.
