On the way

On the way

A Poem by Ed Rector

which way are you going, anyway i'm going to lurk
If you decide to be a jerk it i'm going to have to play ya
because i'd rather wander down a one way street
to hear a heart-beat on the breasts of a lover

Where we coincide with each others vibe
Sing songs for morale to boost us past our enemies
The ones that are forever locked within our memories
Where family is worth the stand against the tyranny

That bottle's up inside so many of our lives
and causes heart ache when loved ones die
but better off it can come by surprise
and makes us dance on graves with smiling eyes

The kind with a glaze and a red haze
that look bright in the darkest of lights
cause seeing red like a bull on the run
Makes me lurk to your ways of fun.
