Last Chapter

A Poem by Edgebrooke
"

To the past, and the more beyond that.

"

Today I saw a glimpse of you,

In the quiet echoes of our past.

A fleeting moment, bittersweet,

As time's river flowed so fast.

Your smile, once my guiding light,

Now softly fades in memory's hue.

In your eyes, I found a trace,

Of the dreams we once pursued.

I watched from afar, a silent witness, T

o the life you now embrace.

A chapter closed, a story told,

In the lines upon your face.

It's strange, how distance alters,

The patterns of our shared design.

Yet in this moment of reflection,

I find peace, and love resigned.

So here I write, with gentle grace,

Farewell to what once was our flame.

For in seeing you, I've found closure,

And now, I release your name.

May life grant you its gentlest touch,

And dreams unfold in kind.

As I turn the page, I bid adieu,

To you I say, thank you for the memories.

Sincerely,

You
