A Nonnet of how I feel

The kids are happy skiing with friends
I am sad that I don't have friends
Friends that ski for company
Seems the older I get
I am more alone
Alone feels bad
Lonely
Hurts

Love your vivid description of being lonely. You said "seem the older I get.." it is not so far fetch. My grandpa is 91 years old and he said the exact same sentiment. He said it is pretty lonely at his age because most of his peers are gone. I really does hurt to be lonely. Love the emotion behind it. N.

Thank you! I'm happy to say things have gotten better. My divorce caused a lot of pain & isolation. I never wanted my kids to suffer so I suffered in silence with the effects of my ex's abuse. Emotional, verbal & sexual abuse leaves hidden scars. I choose to write my pain instead of living it out loud as much as I possibly could. Thank you for your reviews!

As a single man I really relate to this. I like singleness. As a single person I grow in a different way than when I am married. But still...I feel the pain here.

ahhh.. i subject ive written of all too often

this part of life takes some getting used to.. the older they get the less we seem to be needed..

reinvention is the key i suppose.. finding those things in us that were hiding there all along
