Drabble - Old Woman in a Shoe

The drabble (100 words) of a woman trying to figure out how to finish her poem of living in a shoe. Note, knowledge of the nursery rhyme is required for you to understand the randomness.

There once was a lady who had lived in a shoe. She was at the end of her life, a woman who had gone everywhere, but felt like she had done nothing. Gray hair and eyes; she was tired- so very tired. She was tired of failing, and knew she would never finish the rhyme in front of her.

It was the worst fate for a writer, forgetting how to end. All those blasted children had made her scar her memory. Perhaps, she should have whipped them soundly and put them to bed. Yes, that was what she would do.
