Make up

Make up

A Poem by ElenWin

Makeup, make up for what? Being flawed, being human?

A flawless analogy for being a woman.

A perfect mask that no one can see through,

And no one could ever possibly live up to.

Girls don’t swear, fart, defecate, masturbate or menstruate,

And on top of this you must contour, enhance and elaborate.

Vanity and low self-esteem coincide as your flaws are exploited,

allowing you to disappoint and to be disappointed.
