The thought of an astronaut

I see a face inside the moon

i'm moving towards it, i'll be there soon

The face is engraved into it deep

and all it wants to do is weep

the moon watches down upon us

so in the dark we don't whine and fuss

the moon is sad I don't know why

I can see it starting to cry

as i'm flying high in the sky

the moon soars all day through the air

like a huge light that flares

one day the moon will burn out

and it won't have to sit and pout

nice poem.. it created an image inside my mind as i was reading your poem. i like the description, and i like the line " the moon is sad and i dont know why."
it just made me think how the moon, besides stars, is the only light during night..
