Feelings after the tragic loss of my sister in a car accident

I'm sorry this was not what any of us expected and you did not deserve it

I'm sorry we didn't' have more time to do nothing in particular or to talk about nothing important or everything

I'm sorry we didn't' play that last game of cards

I'm sorry life after your death has been difficult and devastating

I'm sorry you died the way you did

I'm sorry if there was anything in your life you didn't get a chance to do or say or heal from

I'm sorry I wasn't always there if you needed me

I'm sorry if your strong spirit ever suffered in silence or at all

I pray for forgiveness and ask that whatever mercy is given to me, I am able to extend to others so to move on and heal

I'm thankful to have had you in my life

I'm thankful for your spunky spirit

I'm thankful for your fiery attitude

I'm thankful for your loving compassion

I"m thankful for your determination

I'm thankful for your care and thoughtfulness

I'm thankful we are rich in memories if not rich in stuff

I'm thankful we had time to dance and talk that last night

Thank you for sharing your existence with me
