TWILIGHT DREAMS

So here it is again,
Another full moon I see,
As I look through the frost on the windowpane I notice the crystals forming slowly,
In this quiet moment frozen in time.

Was it Jack Frost casting a perfect winter spell?
Did he glamour or conjour this wondrous night?
I let him entrance me,
and I was enthralled with the beauty of the world.
But what was that shadow,
That shadow sitting under the tree?

Startled, I quickly closed the drapes,
but not without a slight smile on my lips.
I knew my dreams would be filled,
With such nighttime bliss,
Because I felt and saw his presense,
He comes to give me his eternal kiss.

I get undressed, and slide between the sheets,
of my warm comfortable bed.
while grabbing my remote to listen to soft music, I relax and start to close my eyes,
And begin to dream of those twilight skies.
The gentle sounds lull me to a deep sleep.
Darkness surrounds me to the core of my soul.
Time stops as the moon in my window begins to softly glow.

Footsteps I hear,
Softly approach to the side of my bed.
Under the winter spell, I stay asleep.
I know you are there,
but I can not open my tired eyes.
So I stay lost in this twilight,
between dreaming and awake.

My sense's tingle at your cautious approach,
As you lay down by my side.
With this dark intrusion,
I can hear your voice in my mind,
and the heart of your soul beating within.
Your breath on my neck is gentle and warm,
and the feeling of your ethereal skin is comforting.
You reach out to run your fingers through my hair,
and softly caress the side of my face,
With a night god's gentle sweetness and grace.

You who show's such tenderness and caring,
truly you are a master of this vampiric race.
With my permission, you press your cold lips to the side of my throat,
A slight moan escapes as you satisfy your thirst,
my veins pulsing in time with each gentle draught,
all yours for the taking,
to give you the energy you need,
come my dear master and enjoy the feed.

your lips begin to quiver with delight,
and with an estatic moan,
your powerful fangs carve in,
for a delicious bite.

quietly you suckle and swallow,
as you shiver with energy,
your skin against mine begins to warm,
and you begin to send me visions,
as I tire and fall into dark, twilight dreams,
seen through your ethereal eyes,
I can witness the perfect twilight skies.

I see morning twilight,
as it begins to glow,
slowly the soft pastel colors,
of orange, yellow, pink and purple,
change the darkness into brilliant light.
Then it blazes into the sun,
and quickly it transforms to the evening twilight.
Powerful images of such colorful hues,
the orange, red, and yellow blaze the sky,
as they chase the racing sun,
then the sweet calming,
as the colors turn to pink, and purple,
then to a soft pastel evening blue.
Then the dark sky reigns once again, with the first of twinkling stars.

Here I am back in the here and now,
with you still by my side.
I feel your fangs slowly retract,
your now warm lips,
kiss the last few trickles of blood,
from the wounds on my throat.

with your warm fingers,
you gently massage the marks you made with a warm healing,
so you can hide,
any proof that you were by my side.

Not this time will you escape my sight.
With all my strength,
I force open my eyes.
I see you smiling back at me,
Then you lean over to whisper in my ear,
" Thank you Love, for all you give,
So I can go on to live."

Then with your lips you softly kiss along my throat,
and gently brush them along my cheek.

I use my strength to try and speak,
with surprize I notice you lifting your hand,
and gently cover my mouth.
" Quiet my darling, you try to hard.
Rest, relax, tell me with your mind what you wish to say."

I kiss your fingers loving their warmth and silky feel.
I look into your glowing eyes and see,
the sparkling wonder that you are.
" Master, you know I love you. I always will."

Boldly you kiss me on the lips,
giving back some of the energy you took from me.
In my mind I can hear you say,
" Give and take, take and give,
is what it is all about.
You give me strength, and I use it to protect you."

" My dear master, with you I want to stay.
To forever share twilight dreams." I answer back.
You break your kiss and softly speak.
" I will return when the time is right,
And we will walk the Earth,
Ethereal beings of the twilight."

The morning begins to softly glow on my window pane,
I notice tears in your eyes.
" Master, why do you cry?"
" Because, the time is not yet right."
Then you turn and walk away.
Tired I roll over and slip off back to sleep.
I hear your footsteps as they fade away.

The birds singing awakens me,
as the warm sun shines through the window.
I sit up to watch it melt the frost.
Yawning and stretching I try to remember the dream.
Was it a dream? Was it real?
I convince myself that it was the late night snack,
while I watched television.

I pull back the covers to get up and greet the day.
I feel weak and a little dizzy.
How unusually tired I feel for such a good night's rest.
I decide to put my dream to the test.
quickly I go to the bathroom, and check in the mirror,
as I splash cool water on my face.
what are these funny small marks on the side of my throat?
Then I smile and realize,
I guess this is more than just a twilight dream.

I shower and dress, grab a cup of coffee,
and then I bundle up to go outside.
I can see my breath in the cool morning air.
I enjoy my coffee, as I stare at the colorful morning sky.
The car seat feels cold as I climb in to start the car.
Heading for work in the rush of traffic,
I smile and feel refreshed,
knowing someday, this beautiful sky,
Will forever be mine.
