A Word to the Wise is Sufficient

By Elton Camp

We see a sign:  “Next services 100 miles away,”

It would be a very good idea if we should obey

We better be sure that the car is full of gasoline

That in a restroom, too, we have just been seen

In an emergency, we might hide behind the car

But without any gas, we wouldn’t get very far

Thus, when gas and bathroom are that far away

It’s not wise to ignore and take a chance that day

I have watched the midline do nothing useful, unlike your poem so full of wisdom.
