Wake Up Happy

I'll write you a story tomorrow, my love
when I feel more alive.
Currently, I feel nothing
but an ache in my heart.
I wish I wouldn't feel like this,
but often can't help it.
When the voices come,
I have no choice but to give in.
I know it isn't right...
but perhaps it is at this time.
I am truly sorry, my love.
I have let you down.
Let me go to sleep
and see if I wake up happy.

Author's Note

My biggest problem that I have with myself is that I am not happy all the time. I hate randomly feeling sad or down, worrying constantly about simple things. I do all I can to try distracting myself from these feelings, but in the end, I realize that it's normal to not be happy all the time. It's normal to feel different emotions. I have to understand that there is nothing wrong with me, but I normally resort to going to sleep & hope EVERYTIME that I am able to wake up happy.

Wouldn't it be nice to wake up happy everyday.But in reality this doesn't happen.But as you say this is part of life .We can't have the good without the bad or the happy without the sad.A great few lines you have penned.here.

I don't think I've awoke in a happy mood in years but I'm okay with it. I don't think anyone is supposed to be happy all the time. I don't think life works that way.
