I wish to be you Juliet

Your one and only.

Love at first sight

Is how it starts.

But then our love is forbidden across the land

And put on lockdown.

How can I bear to lose you?

I will stay yours forever

Forever is how I promise

For now and forever

From start to finish

This love won't fade.

I choose to rebel

To sneak out and see you

So I know our love is still there

And not just a distant flame

Trying to stay alight.

Everyone wants to blow it out

But we won't allow them to.

We will prove that love stays strong

And never burns out on command.

I wonder what poems I wrote when I was your age? I'll have to look thru my notebooks and find them~~ uhm... actually the first "good poem" I penned was in the summer of 1982 though I did come up with a few in grade school when I "had to" for a class. ;~)
