Imagination Shield

Is this life real?
Or is it just our imagination?
I say it could be both.
Some parts reality
Others we cover with our dreams
So we don't feel so scared.
Our imagination exists to keep us stable.
Without it, we would fall apart.
Then life would be complete reality
And imagination wouldn't mean a thing.
The dreams are a shield
To cover up the harsh truth of the life around us.
Dreams and imagination
Are to be our protection from reality.
