Rose Heart

My heart is a rose

Delicate, but full of thorns.

I keep it guarded

But never caged.

My heart is free

As is my soul.

But they belong to no one.

Deep, even if it is short. Through seven lines, you have expressed great emotion and the truth. These lines really did it for me:
