Angel

Got the idea from reading "Angel" by Cliff Mcnish. And this poem has nothing to do with the book, let me say. I just got the idea of angels from the book, so I wrote a poem.

She was that girl.

She was here

But she was also there.

She had wings

That no one could see.

She was an angel

Who was invisible.

No one knew her

Nor that she was so special.

this made me think of the people who we neglect everyday who do so much for us and ask nothing in return like our mothers

This is a really captivating poem. I like the idea of someone being so special, yet so neglected by her surroundings, fallen into oblivion. Is she really an Angel, or is that a metaphor for something? qualities that no one pays attention to, an inner beauty which needs to come out, I'm just speculating. :)
